I try my best to get out and take a closer look at the issues that might be of interest to members/site visitors. In this topic, I will post some of the photos of my travels, with the aim of showing both good and bad.

Daytime train at Severn Beach (1352 arrival from Bristol Temple Meads.)

Not everything is rosy there though. There is concern that a number of trains have been turned back at Avonmouth, rather than running through to Severn Beach, and the bus/rail integration situation, quite frankly, is dire. See link below.
http://www.canber.co.uk/?q=node/27

That said, overall I was pleased with the number of people using the new Severn Beach Line services, especially off-peak. At each station, there appeared to be passengers getting on and off each train, which is obviously a good sign.

I am told that FGW are encouraged that the initial indications are very positive with respect to loadings, and lets hope this trend continues, so that the trial is a success.

Not sure if I missed any of your photographs, Lee. Did you go up to Whiteladies Road to see how they have painted the roadbridge with the words "Clifton Down Station?"

Council Leader Helen Holland was saying they are trying to get rid of the advertising on the back of the buildings above this.
