The St.Erth to St.Ives line passes right through the middle of this golf course.

Also look at the article title: 'Re: Golfers left below par by balls complaint'. FGW (First Great Western) have a station called Par!!

Morning

Its a typical Nanny state again!

The council (which should of put up a higher fence
if there going to call it a H&S (Health and Safety) issue), should of
realised when the planning application was put in,
it would be next to a golf coarse and flying balls
could be an issue.  Also the purchasers of any
property for sale on this new development should of
realised there might be a likeyhood of balls going
near to, or on their property.  Anyone intending on
purcahasing with an once of brain, it should of been
obvious.  The club representative should insighting
grandfather rights, being there a lot longer than the
development, plus insighting the above.

I feel sorry for the club and its members, it has
really been let down the council all because they
don't want to dip into their coffers for a misely
new fence.   If it was me I would carry on using the
full length hole and if any NIMBY from the new
development complained, I whould tell them you
should of checked this before going ahead on
purchasing.

So thats why it was dead when I did some filming
there on Saturday inbetween filming the Deltic, it
was good condictions for a few rounds.  Prehaps
they hope it will close because no one wants to
play there anymore and then build on that too?!

Regards

Karl.
