And can you come up with three stations that only have one train per week each way then?   I think I know two, but I've seen a reference to three somewhere, so I think I've overlooked somewhere ...

Grin Grin   I'll be up at 6 to see if you've come up with (any) of them.  As I say, I know two of the three (and I'm racking my brain, still, over the third!)

Yes - that was one I got. I know one more. And I'm scratching my head over the third; I've come up with five stations that don't have a Monday to Friday service, and I know of two which are (I think) still open but have no service at all.

One used to be Godley East on the Hadfield/Glossop line (ex Woodhead route). It's in my first edition Baker (1988) but not in my  7th 1992 edition so presumably it was officialy closed.

A very good web site is the Branch line Societies www.psul4all.free-online.co.uk.

Picked up Newhaven Marine from it where service is temporarily suspended because of condition of station roof. Also Folkestone Harbour still appears to  have occasional use.

Is Weymouth Quay officialy closed?

Will keep digging.

I came up with the following ...

One train each way per week:
Tees-side Airport, Pilning, and there is said to be one other

Stations that are officially open but with no service:
Watford West, Norton Bridge (and others close by)

Weekend Only service:
In addition to Pilning and Tees-side airport, Denton and Reddish South ... Shippea Hill, Lakenheath, Buckenham, Gainsborough Central, Brigg, Kirton Lindsey.

These lists are what I think should be described as "E&OE" - that's "Errors and Omissions Excepted" which basically means there are likely to be some [stations] missing from the lists, and some may have appeared that that shouldn't have!

For saying as we're on "lighter side" this is a bit depressing  Tongue - but please add any others I have missed!

What about Manchester United Football ground at Old Trafford (not the tram stop on the Altringham line) but  on the old CLC (Castle Cary) line to Liverpool via Warrington Central.

Was in Folkestone recently for my sins - the station is looking pretty dilapidated now although the track is still there - couldn't get high enough to see if it looked used recently.
