143617 is now at Wabtec Eastleigh for C6 exam/C4 exam & Refresh. This is the first member of the Class to undergo the work.
I am not sure on the Specification of the work yet, but it will be in the works for approximately 4 weeks.

No, John, I certainly wouldn't wish that fate on Bedminster station - but the 143s ... ? Actually, Bedminster station has seen worse days - recently, some efforts to tidy it up and clean it have been apparent (which is more than happened before FGW▸ took it over, to be fair). |

and 12 damien no2 saying that they are all rubbish just slightly different levels of rubbish. roll on end of refresh and swapping with exeter for some 150's |

I was on a 143 the other day and throughly enjoyed the journey - comfortable seats, plenty of room besides the seat in front the seat to rest feet on. Would have stayed on it till Paignton but it terminated at the Mud!

Not yet, they are being allocated to EX from December. Apparentley the 5 142's that are heading north are going on 2nd or 3rd of december, and the 143's from the Bristol area are not arriving until 12/13th December. That leaves approx 10 days when the Exeter depot will be 5 units short. This is a rumour, if anyone can shed any more light, please do. |
