I've put a petition up on the council website, calling for part of Plot 6 to be used as a major transport interchange.  After all, the station modernisation plans include a new ticket hall/waiting area/information/toilets/retail/refreshments in the 'Digby Wyatt' shed.   Why not let onward travellers get the advantages of it by bringing buses and coaches to the door, giving direct access to and from the whole city instead of the exposed bus shelters and tortuous multi-legged journeys we have now?

The Area Development Plan for Temple Meads and the developer's brief for Plot 6 aren't being drafted by the council - SWRDA» (South West Regional Development Agency - about) are doing it instead.  Odd, especially considering they're joint landowners with Network Rail.   The current plans for both can be found at http://www.plot6.co.uk, though they've been shielded from the public by keeping them out of search engines' databases.

Hi, Peter - and a very warm welcome to the Coffee Shop!

As a regular commuter through BTM (Bristol Temple Meads (strictly, it should be BRI)), I'm very interested in your proposals - I'll certainly look up that petition!

I'm not quite sure what SWRDA» (South West Regional Development Agency - about) are up to, either: they seem to spend vast amounts of money, without actually producing anything concrete (if you'll pardon the expression)?

I also go through Bristol TM(resolve) quite often and feel the current bus system is inadequate. It seems like a great idea in my view. Welcome to the forums, too Smiley
