I am absolutely delighted that Wayne Spence has been awarded this honour: many of us on this forum have acknowledged his hard work in the past, and it is only right that his efforts have now been given wider recognition!  Well done, Wayne!

There are some details of Wayne on the FGW▸ (First Great Western) website, at http://www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk/Content.aspx?id=110 for those who haven't had the honour of meeting him, by the way!  Wink

Well deserved Wayne, congratulations.

Who is going to nominate the platform announcer at Bristol, (I think his name has been mentioned before)although unseen continues to work miracles with passengers when there are problems.

Being able to clear a 1/3 of waiting passengers from the platform 11 by 'reminding' them that it will be quicker to catch the next PAD» (Paddington (London) - next trains) service to Bath is wonderful when the Portsmouth is slightly delayed.
