Straight out of the Lloyds Adverts, almost, the latest design from Japan. East Japan Railway unveiled the exterior and designs for its next generation of Shinkansen trains.

On the other hand, I can imagine this in Dawlish  Cheesy - although hopefully not anytime soon (or indeed in any of our lifetimes)  Undecided

Included here because I happen to think it's a cracking piece of art, by surrealist Patricia van Lubeck.

We are getting close i'm afraid Phil Wink

*edit*

I have removed the offending picture due to copyright issues. (Being an IT Engineer I should know better...  Shocked )

However you can view the picture of a train getting absolutely soaked by going to Google Images and typing in Dawlish Sea Wall

The picture should be the second image result Wink

Apologies for breaking the rules Lips sealed

Fascinating pictures ... but I have been reminded of copyright and hot linking issues.  Undecided

The forum agreement that everyone signs up to on joining says "You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material."  And 'hot linking' is where you add in an image URL from another site which you don't look after - we do not explicitly restrict this in our agreement as you're welcome to do it if you have copyright clearance, but it does (a) allow that other site owner to discover how you're using his/her pictures and (b) allow him/her if he/she so chooses to substitute any other image at any time.

You can find out more about how this forum works [here] - that will link you to a copy of the forum agreement that you can read before you join, and tell you very much more about how we operate. As well as posting messages onto existing threads, and starting new subjects, members can communicate with each other through personal messages if they wish. And once members have made a certain number of posts, they will automatically be admitted to the "frequent posters club", where subjects not-for-public-domain are discussed; anything from the occasional rant to meetups we may be having ...
