Yes, as a passenger, I'm constantly disappointed that the FGW website remains stuck in a rut, so to speak - not particularly easy to navigate, information not kept up to date, not interactive, not offering a 'contact me' feature ...

I think FGW really do need to invest in an upgrade of their website - particularly as, with reductions in customer-facing staff, their website becomes the only way many passengers can find out about FGW services.

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

Current FGW website will be three years old on April 1st so is well overdue for a refresh. Generally its good to refresh your site every 1 1/2-2 years. Would be great if Ollie could get his hands on it and sort it out though I would imagine the website is not overly high up on the agenda for FGW especially if cutbacks are starting to happen.

This is another official Indian Railways site which is faster for train information and checking availability than www.indianrail.gov.in, and it also links directly into the e-booking facility:
