Rail enthusiasts in Bradford on Avon have confirmed that a steam engine will be coming to the town next month (link below.)

Admission to the event at Bradford on Avon Railway Station on Saturday , July 21 and Sunday , July 22 is free and visitors will be able to stand inside the train cabin and blow the whistle.

There will also be a variety of stalls and a model railway exhibition.

Funding for the event and transport costs of the low-loader has been secured through donations from Bradford on Avon Town Council , First Great Western , Network Rail and many other local sources.

The exhibition runs from this Saturday to Sunday , July 15 , ahead of the arrival of the official anniversary weekend of Saturday , July 21 and Sunday , July 22.

The Bradford on Avon Preservation Trust has also produced an anniversary book with photographs and a history of the station available for ^2.99 at local bookshops , the Bradford Tourist Information Centre and the station.

Profits will go towards Steam Bradford on Avon 150.
