The Herald:
Argyle fans who travel to Home Park from Cornwall will be able to let the train take more of the strain from this weekend.
After discussions with the Pilgrims, First Great Western have agreed to run an extra train back to the Duchy after the home match against Sheffield Wednesday, allowing supporters to see every kick of the game. The train will depart from Plymouth at 5.15pm and call at Saltash, St Germans, Liskeard and Bodmin Parkway before reaching Par at 6.07pm.
Argyle chief operating officer Tony Campbell said: "We are delighted First Great Western have agreed to our request to help out our Cornish supporters. The New World at Argyle is committed to improving the matchday experience for the Green Army, and this is another step along that way."
The subsequent Saturday home game ^ against Scunthorpe United on October 3 ^ will come under the Great Eastern Low Summer Timetable, with a high-speed train leaving Plymouth at 5.29pm. That will give the Cornish contingent of the Green Army plenty of time to make their way to the station without having to leave Home Park before the final whistle.
