Anyone know what this is all about? :

Train services between Charlbury and Worcester Foregate Street are being disrupted due to safety checks being made in the Shipton area.Engineers are working as fast as possible to restore services to normal. Short notice alterations, cancellations and delays of up to 60 minutes can be expected.

15:21 London Paddington to Great Malvern due 18:04

This train will be terminated at Charlbury.It will no longer call at: Kingham, Moreton-In-Marsh, Honeybourne, Evesham, Pershore, Worcester Shrub Hill, Worcester Foregate Street, Malvern Link and Great Malvern.This is due to safety checks being made.

16:21 London Paddington to Hereford due 19:45

This train will be terminated at Oxford.It will no longer call at: Hanborough, Charlbury, Shipton, Kingham, Moreton-In-Marsh, Honeybourne, Evesham, Pershore, Worcester Shrub Hill, Worcester Foregate Street, Malvern Link, Great Malvern, Colwall, Ledbury and Hereford.This is due to safety checks being made. Replacement road transport has been requested to operate in lieu of this service.

Track defect between Shipton and Lyneham Crossing

Looks to be have been a bit of instant track renewal since Saturday, with some short sections of old rails and sleepers left alongside the down line (towards Kingham) just north of Shipton station.
