Ha...excellent, so it's them...remember the young lady who started making spoof announcements on LUL (London Underground Ltd)...and was sacked for her irreverence. Would rather hear a sexy Lady than a synth voice.
In York, a while back, we were blessed  with a cracking North American Lady announcer (mmm, must have been GNER (Great North Eastern Railways) days, come to think of it)...marvellously we got "Edinborrow"...but what the hell, at 7.15am she sounded so sexy.

OK I'll get my coat! Cry

Please - don't get Btline too agitated - it's bad for his health, remember?  Wink Cheesy Grin

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

One wonders if Phil used his 'disconnected and unemotional' tones to bag the lovely Elinor?

Just get yourself to New Street then Btline...... just don't overdose!

BTW (by the way), I've got a Train Sim called BVE and one of the routes is a fictional West Midlands line, loosely modelled around New Street and even this has Phil Sayer announcements!

I've got it. (on my PC, which i hardly ever use) The ANNOYING thing is that it takes half an hour to get there from Redditch. I am literally dying of Phil Sayer Withdrawal syndrome...

Why on earth did they switch to Celia? Shocked

That wouldn't help - it's the voice that does it for me. Tongue

But I DO have an mp3 which i ripped off YouTube (the 2002 Southern service to Portsmouth Harbour and Bognor Regis). Oh dear, I really shouldn't admit this.... Lips sealed
