Timetable - Printing costs and future

The online jounrey planner is no substitute for the printed timetable. If printing costs really are prohibative then we could atleast have teh alterations book available for downloading from their website.

I will post a link on this site as soon as I see Network Rail have uploaded the December timetable but dont expect to see that until November. Hope Im wrong and we see it sooner than that.

It is a shame that the current timetable is the last in printed form but from a Western Region point of view it goes out on a whimper as tables 123 and 125 are riddled with errors and missing trains. So much so that I didnt bother buying it despite having every National rail timetable since they produced an all line version in 1974. I have just printed out the pages that I wanted rather than pay ^15. 'Dont you mean ^12 Tim' No because FGW^▸ stopped selling them at Bath Spa station a couple of years back so I either had to get one at Bristol or order it by mail.

I couldn't agree more Tim and would be happy if FGW^▸ just resumed placing the alterations books online like they used to and as Martyjon suggests and have posters at stations showing the revised timetable when engineering work is taking place. FGW wont then have printing costs. They must have to produce revised timetables for staff so surely they could make a bit of effort and post them online. Its not a lot to ask is it?
