Anyone know if FGW (First Great Western) are publishing a complete timetable book for the May-Dec 2010 period?

I asked today at BRI» (Bristol Temple Meads - next trains) and the staff didn't know. Seems a bit odd that they were unaware so close to the timetable change. There was also a distinct lack of new mini- and pocket- timetables on display. The shelves were still full of timetables that have only 1 full days validity left.

Yes, it is definitely being produced as I've been promised one. Possibly late at the printers....

Just been told by FGW (First Great Western) Customer Services* that it should be at major stations already. Price has gone up from ^3 to ^5 though. A near 70% price increase.  Angry

*Thanks to the website SAYNOTO0870.COM I've found an 01xxx number for FGW Customer Services. Handy when you don't have a phone provider who offer inclusive calls to 084xx or 087xx numbers!

They've got a better idea of the print run, which is fewer than expected - hence the per-copy price is higher. How much is SWTs (South West Trains)?....

It's interesting to add that the CS advisor I spoke with said; that whilst I couldn't order and pay for the complete timetable by phone, I could however have been sent all 40 individual timetables free of charge!!!!!

Sensible. Now why can't FGW (First Great Western) offer their book on request?

Also a shame the full book isn't downloadable from the website, as I used to find it quite handy sitting on my computer along with the NRT (Network Rail Telecoms) and others.

You could probably ask the publications manager for a pc version. I did for the last one.

Nonsence the FGW Network Timetable is still only ^3.00 and available from main staffed FGW stations.  I got mine from the ticket office at Oxford last week without any problem at all.  Makes it much easier to understand connections than the plethora of mini-books that never have the full service in them!

Nice one FGW!

I'm trying to imagine a non-PC version! Does the pc version have "corrected" place names in?

And that was the new timetable book valid from 23rd May 2010 was it? First Great Western Customer Services have told me again that it is ^5. I fear you forked out ^3 for something that is now out of date.

I fear you were mis-informed by Customer Services - There was a poster up at PLY» (Plymouth - next trains) this weekend advertising the *new* book for ^3.....shame they hadn't actually got any yet...
