It seems many trains around the Portsmouth area are being disrupted due to electrical supply problems at Havant.

This train has been cancelled. This is due to electrical supply problems.

09:00 Brighton to Great Malvern due 14:37
This train will be started from Cosham. It will no longer call at: Brighton, Hove, Shoreham-By-Sea, Worthing, Barnham, Chichester and Havant. This is due to electrical supply problems.

Anyway, the main point of this post was to share SWT (South West Trains)'s "suggestion" for passengers travelling to London (my bold):
Quote from: SWT (South West Trains)
Electrical supply problems are causing disruption at Havant.

Because of this, the following alterations will apply until approximately 09:00:

    * Trains are being delayed by up to 60 minutes
    * Some trains may be diverted via Eastleigh
    * Buses will run between Havant and Chichester

Passengers may travel by car to Alton (using car park tickets for the Portsmouth area) to use a train to London. Alternatively, passengers travelling to London from Guildford may travel via Aldershot.

South West Trains customers may use Stagecoach Buses from 08:00 between Portsmouth and Havant.
Hmm, this could be taking the definition of "alternative road transport" to the extremes!
