A Totnes antique dealer has died after plunging 30ft from a railway viaduct.
Anthony David Grey was found at the foot of the viaduct near Rattery on Monday afternoon after suffering severe injuries in the fall.
The 64-year-old, who lived at Higher Westonfields in Totnes, was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth where he died the same day.
Mr Grey was discovered badly injured at the viaduct, close to the A385 road near Rattery Mill at 2.30pm.
An inquest was opened on Wednesday at Plymouth before Plymouth and South West Devon Deputy Coroner Andrew Cox.
Coroner's officer Anne Taylor told the coroner that Mr Grey had been born in Harberton, was divorced and was a self-employed antique dealer.
"My inquiries reveal the deceased was admitted to the Accident and Emergency department at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, on September 6 with multiple trauma having jumped approximately 30 feet. Sadly, despite best efforts, the deceased died at the hospital later that same day."
She said that a post-mortem examination had been carried out but the cause of death 'has yet to be established'.
A police spokesman said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
