Well done to whoever (control type person) put this train on the fast line tonight.

Not so good however is the fact that we left Paddington 12 minutes late, and not one single announcement for the whole of those 12 minutes (all of which we were locked on the train!).. About 2 minutes after we left Paddington the driver did tell us that it had been a door interlocking problem (or something like that)..

However, if we had been made to crawl up the slow line behind the cattle truck (sorry I mean stopping service  Wink) that was allowed to leave before us, then the delay would have been a lot worse..

So well done FGW (First Great Western) control, not so well done to the driver...

The driver was probabally trying to fix the fault!

I think you have Slough IECC (Integrated Electronic Control Centre) to thank for 2B44 routed on the main. FGW (First Great Western) control wouldn't normally have a say as Network Rail run FGW services for them.

The driver would have been trying to fix the fault.

But he should have made an announcement to say what was happening.

Suspect this was the reason the 1822 went from platform 4!

9/10 times it goes from 10 - so there I was waiting at the end of 10 and watching what I assue was the maidenhead train with two men in orange jump suits, the driver and a couple of others faffing on the platform for ages.

In that case you pulled put more than 12 minutes late by the station clock.

I gave up on plat 10 at 1805 an you were still there...... I saw a HST (High Speed Train) pull in on plat 4 and since the only other *normal* HST trains in the next 45 minutes were accounted for by stickers in windows (was bored so went through the gates an up the stairs to investigate all the trains)  I deduced plat 4 was mine.

So....... either the platform clocks at pad are wrong or.....

It is now friday

My last journey was thursday - was ok (until oxford)

So wednesday the 21st is what I was talking about........ the day I saw the men in orange jump suits faffing with a train on plat 10

Maybe the clocks arent synchronized - I dont giveup on plat 10 unless the turbo is still there after 1805 then I know the 1822 aint going in there!
