Oyster cards and reading station

Is there anywhere at reading station where one can purchase one of the above nasties?

Don't think so.

The TfL^» website suggests Slough as the nearest place to buy a card: http://ticketstoplocator.tfl.gov.uk/LocationLocator/

Not on the National Rail list either: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/london/oyster_issue.html

I've seen pre-loaded Oyster^▸ cards on sale in the station WH Smith at Southampton, might be worth trying at a major GW^▸ station. SOuthampton isn't on the ticket stop list because they presumably don't/can't do top ups etc...

I see from the Oyster pages on TfL^» 's site they (ie Oyster) will post one to you, if there's time.
