Spotted this one on the 'Weather Disruption' panel on the FGW▸ (First Great Western) website homepage:

On the other hand, it could be a cynical ploy to ensure VT▸ (Virgin Trains - former franchises) don't actually have to accept ANY tickets from FGW▸ (First Great Western)

"I'm sorry madam, this ticket is only valid from Birmingham to Euston. Our offer clearly states that we'll accept tickets from Bormingham. That's as may be, madam, but you will have to take that up with the person you bought your ticket from. Now how would you like to pay....?"
