From FGW (First Great Western) website

Wednesday 6 April 2011 12:50
Train services are being disrupted due to signalling problems between Bristol Parkway and Swindon. As a result First Great Western services between London Paddington and South Wales in both directions are being diverted via an alternative route and will not call at Bristol Parkway but will call additionally at Filton Abbey Wood. Replacement road transport is in operation between Bristol Parkway and Filton Abbey Wood in both directions. Extended journey times of up to 45 minutes can be expected.

Problems again with the signalling

From the FGW (First Great Western) Website front page

Services are being disrupted between Newport and Cardiff Central due to signalling problems. Short notice alterations and delays of up to 60 minutes can be expected. Only one FGW service an hour in each direction will operate. Supplimentary road transport is in operation between Newport and Cardiff Central

First Great Western apologise for any inconvenience this has caused to your journey.
