The National Community Rail Awards are being held in Sheffield on 23 September and your votes are needed.

A heap of great photos have been entered in the Best Community Rail Image category and there is now a public vote.

To vote, all you need to do is e-mail Hazel@acorp.uk.com , title the e-mail ^Photo comp^ and vote for your favourite.

We have several Devon & Cornwall ones in - photo 873 is my favouite, this is of the Friends of Penmere Station (well, some of them) on their new bench, relocated from Truro after I got a replacement from eBay of all places and FGW▸ (First Great Western) refurbished it.  The bench at Truro (now on Platform 3, by the west end steps) had spent more than 20 years in a garden in Tideford, near Saltash.

The photo appeared in the West Briton in June and was kindly supplied by them and their photographer, Toby Weller.
