Well they got from Barnstable to Bideford which must be in scale terms  far longer than HS1 (High Speed line 1 - St Pancras to Channel Tunnel).

Well they got from Barnstable to Bideford which must be in scale terms  far longer than HS1 (High Speed line 1 - St Pancras to Channel Tunnel).
