5 Basingstoke?  Is the road sign with SE1 on just to confuse would be cheaters?   Grin

I would have said Waterloo  Angry

5 is basingstoke but already guessed.... im going to give you the waterloo one as its pretty close and as the street name is in the image ... :-) ive changed that one to why is it the odd one out

That's also the only one I know!* Spent many an hour there (well, on Platform 4 which the photo is of - not Platform 3 which it's taken from and which I've rarely used)

3 is where i get off and 2 is where i go home .... ooo thats kind of a clue for the rest its following a theme ..... i would have included taunton for completeness but thought it would have lasted about 2 seconds :-)

Just think, Relex - we've probably been at Basingstoke station simultaneously at some point in the last 10 years without once realising it! Ha!

Mind you, the place has definitely gone downhill since the very attractive blonde stopped working in the coffee shop on Platform 4...

Just think, Relex - we've probably been at Basingstoke station simultaneously at some point in the last 10 years without once realising it! Ha!

Mind you, the place has definitely gone downhill since the very attractive blonde stopped working in the coffee shop on Platform 4...

in fairness my journeys to basingstoke only started a couple of months ago, but still if you have been recently ? been arriving at 830 and leaving on eather the 1507 or an hour later

:-o how did you get that ?? lol i didnt know what it was called only where i took it :-) ...well i learnt something today

ok with number 4 ..... no, the clue is you can/could see 'them' from where the shot was taken on all of the images apart from number 4, but why?

Umm.... I did a dissertation back in 6th form about Isambard Kingdom Brunel. (Those were the days when research meant reading books and documents - not Wikipedia Tongue) Whilst he was busy trying to get his atmospheric railway working on the South Devon Railway he was put up by the 11th Earl of Devon, William Reginald Courtney (one of the sponsors of the SDR) at Powderham Castle. Some historical documents say that IKB (Isambard Kingdom Brunel) and his wife Mary were housed in the Belvedere folly.
