Just read in my local free newspaper that railink service 904 between Maesteg railway station & Caerau will be withdrawn from saturday 14th january 2012.

However it seems First cymru service 32/36 Cymmer - Maesteg - Bridgend will be getting re-timed so that  most journeys will connect with train services at Maesteg station  with buses actually serving the station rather than stopping at the nearest bus stop out on the main road.

Rail tickets will be able to be used on the bus from Cymmer, which gives passengers a much better service compared to the current raillink bus which only runs between Caerau Square and Maesteg railway station.
