Do you know these men? British Transport Police appeal after train despatcher assaulted - Cardiff
British Transport Police (BTP▸ ) is appealing for the public^s help in identifying two men they would like to speak to after a member of staff at Cardiff Queen Street rail station was assaulted.
Officers have released a CCTV▸ image of two people they believe may have information about the incident, which happened on Saturday, 11 February.
Investigating officer PC Ian Brinkworth said: ^At around 8.30pm, two men on platform 1 at Cardiff Queen Street station were seen to throw beer from an open container at a train. Having warned the men about their behaviour, a member of station staff was then approached by a passenger claiming the men had urinated on the platform. When they were challenged by the staff member and asked to leave the station, they assaulted him.
^This was an unprovoked attack and the behaviour of these men towards the member of staff was completely unacceptable.^
Having viewed CCTV footage, officers have identified two men ^ both white and in their mid 20s - they would like to trace in connection with the incident.
The first is described as around 5ft 10in, with short black hair, and was wearing a black leather jacket and blue jeans.
The second, who is around 6ft, had short dark hair and was wearing a dark bomber jacket, blue jeans and white trainers.
PC Brinkworth said: ^Thankfully the victim, a 28^year-old train despatcher, was not injured in the attack, but the frightening incident left him shocked and distressed. Aggression or violence towards rail staff will not be tolerated by BTP and the rail industry, and we will do everything we can to bring offenders to justice.
^After reviewing CCTV, I would now ask anyone who recognises these men to contact BTP with that information as I believe they will be able to help us with our enquiries.^

The appeal is due to be featured on Crimestoppers, at the end of the early evening news on ITV1 Wales this Sunday, and will include CCTV footage of the incident.
