which tells of how a steam excursion was hit yesterday by the public sector strike.

I'm guessing the real answer to No. 9 might be the Volks Electric Railway, Brighton - http://volkselectricrailway.co.uk

Correct. And most disappointed was I not to get a ride. Been to Brighton many times but STILL not manage a trip on the Volks. This time a strike - a downside to local authority ownership. Last time closed due to weather damage. Time before just missed operating times...
