Should we have a page that's a glossary of railway terms?

We have the Acronymns and Abbreviations page as http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/acronyms.html - do we need a glossary or railway terms too? I was struck by this comment in the The Lincolnite which reminded me that I and some others may take too much for granted - a very easy trap to fall into!

When I slip into technical railway talk in my posts I generally explain any technical terms that crop up that I don't think are in common use on the forum. I know that CfN usually adds these to the Acronymns and Abbreviations page, but I think it would be a good idea to separate out the 'true' railway terms from the others.

I would have thought that 'siding' was one of the best known railway terms. It is used extensively in both adult and children's literature.

Early evidence from the poll is that for existing members we don't need to explain the basic railway terms such as "siding". Members with technical / railway background tend to add explanations of terms along the way anyway - and a huge "thank you" to them for doing so; I suspect it's at a 'just right' level at the moment, but the poll and this thread are a worthwhile check on that.
