Alterations to services between Westbury and Weymouth
Due to the train driver being taken ill between Westbury and Weymouth fewer trains are able to run on all lines.
Train services running to and from these stations may be terminated at and started back from Westbury. Some stations between Westbury and Weymouth will not be served. Disruption is expected until 18:00 26/10.

Please note that owing to short-notice driver sickness, the following alterations apply to today:

- The 11:10 Gloucester - Weymouth will terminate at Westbury.
- The 15:28 Weymouth to Gloucester will start at Westbury.

These are the only alterations to this line of route we're currently anticipating.

In response to the aforementioned alterations, the following road transport contingency will operate:

- x2 full size coaches operated by Pewsey Vale coaches will depart Westbury at 1300 and call at Castle Cary, Yeovil Pen Mill, Dorchester West and Weymouth.
- Those same two coaches will then return to Westbury departing Weymouth at 15:30 following the same calling pattern.

Due to a points failure between Castle Cary and Westbury the line towards Westbury is blocked.
