Taplow has recently had a notice up saying it would no longer be possible to purchase carpark tickets from the station clerk.

I believe from other posts this was to be applied to most stations in TV (Thames Valley, or TeleVision, depending on context).

Learnt this morning it has been rescinded! Too many complaints?

I understand that the original decision was made at one level, and when it became known at a more senior level, it was quickly quashed.

You mean someone actually worked out that if a passenger didn't have the right change for the car park machine, or a mobile to use RingGo, then it might be a bit hard to get a parking ticket. Amazing.
