Taplow Comes Alive

Arrived at the station yesterday for our usual Thursday get together of the Rail Users Group to find that we have now aquired a tea/burger trailer in the North Car Park. "Nana's Pantry"

They are doing teas coffees, soft drinks, freshly cooked sausages burgers and bacon plus other snacks and sandwiches. They were good quality burgers.

They are hoping to be there every weekday from around 06:30 to 14:30. They are also proposing a "pick up your pre ordered breakfast as you arrive for your train" service.

For a first day they seemed to attract a lot of trade, including "White Van Man" using Station Road as a cut through from the A4to Burnham.

It really brings the station alive.

Taplow Rail Users Group welcomes "Nana's Pantry" and wishes them great success.

So come on all you Madonians park in the South Car Park and enjoy a snack before you go. Our season tickets to London are cheaper!

That is good news extra station facilities always is.

The season ticket might be cheaper but the amount of petrol used queuing to get over Maidenhead bridge makes it more expensive.

Yes, good news, as is the recent addition of coffee outlets on the platforms or car parks at Charlbury, Moreton, Evesham, Goring, Pangbourne and Langley (as well as other stations across the network no doubt).
